It may seem obvious, but helping others with their emotions can improve your own ability to self-regulate and take perspective. New research shows that helping others with their emotions by using perspective taking, reframing, reappraisal (even just over email!) can benefit your very own well-being and decrease the blues (Borre, Morris, Burr, Picard, Ochsner, 2017).So keep coaching!
